Questa informativa spiega quali dati usa l'app SpotyMap per Android (“l'app”) e il sito spotymap.org, perché li usa e quali sono i tuoi diritti. In breve: SpotyMap non ha account, non ha server propri e non riceve i tuoi dati personali. Quello che l'app salva resta sul tuo telefono.

Quali dati usa l'app e perché

La tua posizione

Se ci dai il permesso, l'app legge la posizione del telefono per mostrarti i luoghi vicini, la distanza da ciascun luogo e il punto blu sulla mappa. La posizione viene elaborata solo sul telefono: non viene inviata a noi e non viene conservata in uno storico. L'app ricorda soltanto l'ultimo punto in cui hai lasciato la mappa, per riaprirla lì. Puoi negare o revocare il permesso in qualsiasi momento dalle impostazioni del telefono: l'app continua a funzionare, ma senza la tua posizione.

La posizione è fornita dai servizi di localizzazione di Google Play installati sul telefono, che la trattano secondo le regole di Google (vedi sotto).

Preferenze e preferiti

L'app salva sul telefono le tue impostazioni (lingua, tema, raggio di ricerca, categorie scelte o nascoste, modalità mancini…), i luoghi salvati con il cuore e le tue liste, l'avanzamento del livello esploratore e l'ultimo punto della mappa. Servono solo a far funzionare l'app come l'hai lasciata. Restano sul telefono finché non disinstalli l'app o non ne cancelli i dati.

Se sul telefono è attivo il backup di Android, queste preferenze vengono copiate nel backup del tuo account Google, così le ritrovi su un nuovo telefono. Il backup è gestito da Google, è legato al tuo account e noi non vi abbiamo accesso. Puoi disattivarlo dalle impostazioni del telefono.

Notifiche

Se le attivi, l'app ti invia ogni tanto un'idea di posto da esplorare. Le notifiche sono generate sul telefono, senza alcun server: per riceverle non serve inviarci nessun dato. Puoi disattivarle dalle impostazioni dell'app o del telefono.

Servizi di terze parti

Per funzionare l'app usa alcuni servizi di Google, che trattano dati come autonomi titolari secondo la loro informativa:

• Google Maps SDK per Android: disegna la mappa. Per scaricare la mappa Google riceve dati tecnici, come l'indirizzo IP e informazioni sul dispositivo.
• Servizi Google Play (localizzazione e backup).

Quando tocchi un link nell'app (ad esempio per aprire le indicazioni in Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, StreetComplete o il nostro profilo Instagram) si apre un'altra app o un sito, che ha la sua informativa.

I luoghi mostrati vengono da OpenStreetMap e sono già inclusi nell'app: per consultarli l'app non contatta OpenStreetMap.

Cosa non facciamo

• Non chiediamo di registrarti e non raccogliamo nome, email o numero di telefono.
• Non inviamo la tua posizione a nessun nostro server.
• Non usiamo pubblicità, strumenti di profilazione o di analisi del comportamento.
• Non vendiamo né condividiamo dati personali con terzi.

Il sito spotymap.org

Il sito non usa cookie, né strumenti di analisi o caratteri caricati da server esterni. Come ogni sito, il servizio che lo ospita (Cloudflare) tratta dati tecnici come l'indirizzo IP per consegnare le pagine e proteggerle dagli abusi.

Se ci scrivi via email usiamo il tuo indirizzo e il contenuto del messaggio solo per risponderti, e li conserviamo per il tempo necessario a gestire la richiesta.

Base giuridica

Usiamo la posizione sulla base del tuo consenso, che dai concedendo il permesso e che puoi revocare in ogni momento. Le preferenze e le notifiche servono a fornirti il servizio che hai chiesto. Le risposte alle email si basano sulla tua richiesta.

Minori

SpotyMap non è pensata per bambini sotto i 13 anni e non raccoglie consapevolmente dati di minori. Nell'Unione Europea, sotto l'età prevista dal tuo paese per il consenso digitale (tra 13 e 16 anni), serve il consenso di un genitore.

I tuoi diritti

Non conserviamo dati che ti riguardano. Quelli dell'app stanno sul tuo telefono e li controlli tu: puoi modificarli dalle impostazioni dell'app, cancellarli dalle impostazioni del telefono (“Cancella dati”) o disinstallando l'app.

Gli unici dati che potremmo avere sono le email che ci hai scritto. Puoi chiederci di vederle, correggerle o cancellarle scrivendo a info@spotymap.org.

Se ritieni che il trattamento violi la legge puoi presentare reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) o all'autorità del tuo paese.

Residenti in California: non vendiamo né condividiamo informazioni personali ai sensi del CCPA/CPRA.

Modifiche

Se l'app cambia (ad esempio se aggiungessimo la pubblicità o le donazioni) aggiorneremo questa pagina e la data in alto. Per i cambiamenti importanti te lo diremo anche nell'app.

This policy explains what data the SpotyMap app for Android (“the app”) and the spotymap.org website use, why, and what your rights are. In short: SpotyMap has no accounts, no servers of its own and does not receive your personal data. What the app stores stays on your phone.

What data the app uses and why

Your location

If you grant permission, the app reads your phone's location to show nearby places, the distance to each place and the blue dot on the map. Your location is processed only on your phone: it is not sent to us and no location history is kept. The app only remembers the last point where you left the map, to reopen it there. You can deny or revoke the permission at any time in your phone settings: the app keeps working, without your location.

Location is provided by the Google Play location services installed on your phone, which handle it under Google's terms (see below).

Settings and favourites

The app stores on your phone your settings (language, theme, search radius, chosen or hidden categories, left-handed mode…), the places you saved with the heart and your lists, your explorer level progress and the last map position. They are used only to keep the app the way you left it, and stay on your phone until you uninstall the app or clear its data.

If Android backup is turned on, these settings are copied to the backup of your Google account, so you get them back on a new phone. The backup is run by Google, tied to your account, and we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone settings.

Notifications

If you turn them on, the app occasionally suggests a place to explore. Notifications are created on your phone, with no server involved: no data is sent to us. You can turn them off in the app or phone settings.

Third-party services

The app relies on some Google services, which process data as independent controllers under their own policy:

• Google Maps SDK for Android: draws the map. To load the map, Google receives technical data such as your IP address and device information.
• Google Play services (location and backup).

When you tap a link in the app (for example to get directions in Google Maps, or to open OpenStreetMap, StreetComplete or our Instagram profile), another app or website opens, with its own privacy policy.

The places shown come from OpenStreetMap and are already included in the app: the app does not contact OpenStreetMap to show them.

What we don't do

• We don't ask you to sign up and don't collect your name, email or phone number.
• We don't send your location to any server of ours.
• We don't use advertising, profiling or behavioural analytics.
• We don't sell or share personal data with third parties.

The spotymap.org website

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no fonts loaded from external servers. Like any website, its hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and keep them for as long as needed to handle your request.

Legal basis

We use your location based on your consent, given by granting the permission and revocable at any time. Settings and notifications are needed to provide the service you asked for. Email replies are based on your request.

Children

SpotyMap is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. In the European Union, below the age of digital consent set by your country (between 13 and 16), parental consent is required.

Your rights

We don't keep data about you. The app's data stays on your phone and you control it: you can change it in the app settings, delete it from your phone settings (“Clear data”) or by uninstalling the app.

The only data we might hold are emails you sent us. You can ask to see, correct or delete them by writing to info@spotymap.org.

If you believe the processing breaks the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of your country.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information under the CCPA/CPRA.

Changes

If the app changes (for example, if we add advertising or donations) we will update this page and the date at the top. For important changes we will also tell you in the app.
