Termini d'uso

Ultimo aggiornamento: 15 ottobre 2026

Contribuire a OpenStreetMap

L'app ti indica come segnalare o aggiungere luoghi su OpenStreetMap.

Privacy

Come l'app tratta i dati è spiegato nella privacy policy.

Modifiche

Possiamo aggiornare l'app e questi termini.

Legge applicabile

Terms of use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These terms apply to the SpotyMap app for Android (“the app”) and to the spotymap.org website. By using the app you accept them. In short: SpotyMap is free, shows you places reported by volunteers that may not be accurate, and you use those places carefully and at your own responsibility.

Who provides SpotyMap

Davide Frigerio, Italy. Contact: info@spotymap.org.

What the app offers

SpotyMap shows on a map places reported on OpenStreetMap as public or shared, for example drinking fountains, public toilets, sports courts and monumental trees. The app is free and needs no account. Some features unlock as you use the app, with no payment.

Where the data comes from

Places come from OpenStreetMap, a map built by volunteers, and are licensed under the Open Database License (© OpenStreetMap contributors, openstreetmap.org/copyright). They may therefore be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date: a place may be closed, broken, private, paid or gone. The app's data is updated periodically, not in real time.

SpotyMap does not indicate whether a place is accessible to people with disabilities or reduced mobility, nor its opening hours.

Use places carefully

  • Before using a place, check its condition and suitability on site, especially for water (that it is drinkable) and for natural spots such as waterfalls, trails and beaches.
  • Respect signs, bans, opening hours, local rules and private property.
  • Use equipment and playgrounds carefully and check that they are in good condition and suitable for the age.
  • The safety reminders shown in the app are reminders, not safety guarantees.

If you are under 18, use the app with the permission and under the responsibility of a parent or guardian.

Liability

SpotyMap does not guarantee that the data is accurate, complete or up to date, or that the app is always available and error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from the use of the app or of the places shown. This does not affect any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

Contributing to OpenStreetMap

The app shows you how to report or add places on OpenStreetMap. What you publish on OpenStreetMap is governed by OpenStreetMap's terms, not these: SpotyMap does not receive or manage your contributions.

Names and borders

The names of countries and territories and the borders shown in SpotyMap are for orientation only and do not express any position on the legal status of any country, territory or border, or of the authorities governing them. For territories whose status is disputed, the app uses a neutral geographic name and no flag. The base map and its borders are provided by Google Maps.

Third-party services

The map is provided by Google Maps: by using it you also accept the Google Maps additional terms. Links to other apps and websites (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, StreetComplete, Instagram) lead to services with their own terms.

What you may not do

  • Copy, modify or redistribute the app's code and design.
  • Use the app for illegal activities or to harm other people or places.

Brand and content

The SpotyMap name, logo, design and app code belong to the provider of SpotyMap.

The places database included in the app is a database derived from OpenStreetMap and is available under the same licence, the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0: you may reuse it under the terms of that licence. You can download a complete copy from this folder.

Privacy

How the app handles data is explained in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If they change significantly, we will ask you to accept them again in the app. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and may bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence.
